We would like to express our very sincere appreciation to Dr. William Seals, DVM and Tri-County Veterinary Hospital for donating a neurectomy for "Pete," one of the DreamPower horses.  This surgical procedure was done July 1, 2009 in the surgery suite at Tri-County Veterinary Hospital in Gilroy.  Pete has a very serious degenerative condition called navicular in both front feet. Even though he is a young and otherwise healthy horse, this surgery was his last chance at living a pain-free life.  Dr. Seals donated the entire cost of the surgery to DreamPower.  We are extremely grateful to Bill and Linda Seals and the entire staff at Tri-County Vet for their on-going and generous support of DreamPower and the excellent care they provide to all of our horses.

Update: Pete came through the surgery like a champ. After 30 days of layoff he is currently in rehabilitation and doing well. It is wonderful to see that for the first time in several years Pete can walk and trot without pain.
