For high-achieving teens 14-19 years old.

Each group is limited to 8 teens.

Working with horses teens will learn:

•    Assertiveness skills

•    How to set realistic goals
•    How to build supportive friendships
•    How to have fun!
$720 per session

 

$200 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve a spot.
Full payment is due two weeks before the first group meeting.

 

Location: DreamPower Horsemanship, 11590 New Avenue, Gilroy, CA

 

The cost of $720 includes:

·       In office 50 minute parent and teen intake interview with Martha McNiel, LMFT

·       8 ninety minute equine facilitated psychotherapy group sessions

·       Horse/stable fees and insurance

·       60 minute in office parent feedback session

Mid-session a Parent Group is held where parents can meet as a group with the clinical staff for a one hour psycho-educational presentation and question and answer period.

 

“Stable Stressbusters” will be led by Martha McNiel, Director of DreamPower Horsemanship.  Martha is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA license MFC34795), NARHA Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor and a Certified Equine Interaction Professional in Mental Health.

 

No prior horse experience is necessary.  Much of the group work with horses will be unmounted.  When riding horseback an ASTM approved equestrian helmet is required and will be provided by DreamPower.
